The Pilgrims meet most Sunday mornings from 11am onwards at the Old Market Square in Bedford town centre, right in front of The Piazza (Good coffee and great bacon rolls!)

It's worth keeping an eye on the forums which you can register for free on as we try to encourage most of our organising through that and there are some Sundays where we'll go to meet another club or do an early ride out.

There's also the Inter County Ride Out scheme which is usually a monthly ride, you can see a little more information about this on the right. --------------------------->

We are quite an informal bunch and are made up of mainly Lambretta, Vespa and Maicoletta enthusiasts with the occasional auto thrown in for good measure, so we aren't fussy.

Other than our weekly Sunday meet, we also meet at The Five Bells pub in Henlow on the second Thursday of the month from 8pm onwards and members of several other clubs attend this on a regular basis.

There are as I say, several other clubs all within a 25 mile radius of Bedford that have meets, some on different days or times and some members like to go and see them too as it's nice to have some variety.

Some clubs also have "roving" meets on a weekly basis so you need to visit their websites via our links pages on here to check them out.

You can find out more about what we are up to (as well as contribute ideas and suggestions) at our forum page which is http://www.thepilgrimssc.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl and we also have a facebook page here (you'll have to be logged in to FB for it though).

The Inter County Ride Out (ICRO) Scheme

Scooterists from the Beds, Bucks, Herts, Oxon, Northants and surrounding counties. We get together on a monthly basis. Each meet is hosted by a local Scooter Club who arrange the meet and a rideout, usually to a pub where we chew the fat, have a drink and a bite to eat and talk scooters, music and anything else.

The idea was put forward in late 2008 and the first of the rides was to Aylesbury Scooter Club in January 2009. Since then there's been a run almost every month except for some of the months where there is already either too much already on in the scooter calander or the weathers been bad enough that it would have been dangerous. Thankfully that's rare!

So, the simple idea is for clubs in the local area to just get out there and ride and if we make new friends on the way it's a bonus!

There's a facebook group here and if you want to contribute thoughts and ideas you can do so at the ICRO forum section on the Northants Scooter Chat site here (but you need to register a (free) account to do so).
