The Pilgrims League Table 2009

The idea of the championship is to inject a bit more fun into the club, there's always room for a little more. The way you earn your points is explained below and the points count from January 1st 2009 to December 31st 2009 each year.

Rules:
5 points if you do the event on a manual geared scooter.
3 points if you use a T&G
2 points if you've had to be recovered.
1 if you've had to use a car
-1 if you've vanned or trailered it

Pillions on scooters (not passengers in cars) will also earn 1 point.

Anyone sporting a Pilgrims Legshield Banner will also earn 2 extra points and yes these will now be doubled on double point runs!

*Everyone that turns up at the Henlow Monthly meet will earn a minimum of one point no matter how you get there, if you go on the scooter you get 2 and if you go on the scooter and have a banner on show you get 3!

All Monthly rideouts must start from the Piazza in Bedford. All other events earn points through attendance as per the rules which basically mean that nationals and others marked with a * will score points whether you leave the Piazza or not.

You may not add points up, i.e. if you went on your lambretta and then you were recovered, you do not get 5 + 2!!! You would get 2 only.

Photographic evidence of attendance is required, unless Donnie sees you there or you can provide other proof

Also new for 2009
All points for events must be claimed for by the end of the month that they occur. For any event occuring in the final week of a month, you have until the end of the following month. This will be strictly enforced and part of this is to ensure that I keep the points tally up to date.

Only events listed here will be counted for points and be aware that dates and venues are always subject to change. If you turn up on the wrong day or at the wrong venue you don't get sympathy points

As the Piazza will be busy we now always stay away on this day as a mark of respect and have a short run elsewhere. So, the plan is to meet at 11am in the car park (near the entrance of the store itself as there's a cafe for the early birds) of Tescos Cardington Road and at 11.30 go for a short run probably to St. Neot's Market Square
