Monthly
Ride
The Monthly Ride this month is the ride to Turvey on Sunday 20th
August between 12 and 12.30. There are a bunch of lads from the Northampton
Vespa and Lambretta Scooter Club coming to visit them so its a good opportunity
to meet some new faces, have a ride out and it makes sense for it to be
on their way home and it not be too far out of the way for us.
The
Pilgrims Summer BBQ
What is there to say? A resounding success all round!! Thanks
to all the staff at The Five Bells for putting up with us as well as feeding
us, the band were brilliant, the DJ's too, with special thanks to Bill
for supplying the decks.
The bouncy castle went down a storm with the kids, and there was a great turnout from several of the local clubs such as, NHS Collective, Tin Soldiers SC, Inset SC and others.
Classics
on the Common
The end of July saw
the yearly Classics on the Common in Harpenden. It was a good ride down
too with Frank, Quincy, Simon and Big Rob, with me only getting the scooter
MOT'ed 3 minutes before meeting them on the A6!! Closer to Harpenden though,
the traffic was appalling despite our best filtering efforts! Still, we
had a good time perusing cars, motorbikes, scooters and wimmen! Mind you,
I don't think a topless Quincy was too pleased at having a barmaid chuck
him out of the pub, still at least she wasn't ogling his tattoo :-)
One
for the Roade
I just don't know where to start! It was that good I wish I'd managed
to stay the night before too!
Brilliant weather, Pilgrims winning prizes, great meeting new faces from
other clubs, a great band and just all round great fun. For the pictures
and the write up though, you'll have to see the website later in the week!
It'll be worth it!!!!
Ride
to Edgeware this Sunday
This Sunday the Inset SC from Edgeware are having a bit of a do, so anyone
wishing to ride down to see them should get in touch with Quincy about
meeting up and visiting them, after all, they've been up to us now a few
times as well as to the NHS Collective.
Isle
Of Wight Scooter Rally
The worlds biggest scooter rally is less than 3 weeks away!!
I hope those the owed Squirrel money for the B&B have squared up
by now, otherwise you're buggered.
Don't forget to suss
out what times you're going at and with whom, there will of course be
a Stupid O'Clock run leaving the Piazza in Bedford at 4am then onto
Toddington Services for about 4.30 then its a straight run to the island
for a 99p breakfast.
