Regular
Rides
The Pilgrims SC Regular ride out had a great turnout on Sunday 11th March and we had great weather for it too! It was a shame though that not everyone made it, Greg didn't manage to make it due to what turned out to be a CDI / Stator plate problem, soon fixed at Sandy Scooters, SX Paul limped home with what we believe was a blown oil seal and Rachels exhaust wanted to take a different route than the rest of the scooter! Still it all worked out in the end and it was great to see the NVLSC lads and lasses.
The next rideout is this Sunday 15th April to the VMSC Custom Show and Parts Fair in Coventry. We will be leaving the Piazza at 9.30am sharp and will be avoiding motorways, both for those that may be sporting L plates but also because it's more fun on the A roads. I hope to see you there as it will be our first "long" organised run.
Keech Cottage gets £200 thanks to...
....The PIlgrims. As many of you will remember we had a charity raffle at the Pre Season Do which raised £200. As every year, we donate the money raised to a good cause, this year was the turn of Keech Cottage Hospice.
I know it was short notice, but a small contingent of us managed to have a great ride out last Sunday and presented the money to the staff of Keech Cottage and they were really appreciative. Also, rumours that they thought my scooter was going for scrap are completely unfounded.
Peanut Duck Parts Fair and Custom Show
Again another great turnout for The Pilgrims with 15+ scooters making the run to Milton Keynes. Well, 14 made it as poor Dave's top end came a cropper, possibly rings
Myself and Mr. Chips had noticed and we all decided we'd carry on as Dave would wait for his son to pick him up in the van.
Peanut Duck was a great day out for all, even with the problems of trying to get one of the scooters to start when we were ready to come home. Also good to see some new scooters in the Custom Show including one from the Tin Soldiers and one from Jacko too!! Looked the bollox!
National Sprint Association
What's sprinting got to do with scooters, eh? Well, just ask any of those that went to the first National Sprint of the season and they'll tell you how great it was, and how the atmosphere was on Sunday April 1st was. Nearly a dozen of us went and watched at Tempsford and you can read the full report on the runs page of The Pilgrims website. |
