Regular Rides
Another great regular ride to the VMSC show at Coventry. After starting off at the Piazza we headed for Coventry via A roads rather than travelling on the motorways, though Donegal did manage to take us to the wrong junction at Northampton necessitating a short jaunt on the M1 to get back on track. Mind you, Dean managed to take us off half a junction early and before we knew it we were heading for Oxford! Still we knew we'd come across the A5 and head North and soon made it to the show. A great day, great turnout and a great ride home too with a swift stop at a lovely pub on the A5 where Mr. Chips extolled the virtues of getting flies high and tying strings to their legs.

Our next rideout is Sunday 20th May to the Cotswold's to join in what appears to be a completely mad, if not crazy venture.
In fact, there is to be a World Record attempt (genuinely, as I've painstakingly checked it out) on the most scooters in a row without a large break, a car, a motorbike etc and is currently held by Italy where they got 449 Yamaha scooters apparently last year. So, after the success of last months "long" rideout I'm sure there will be plenty of people up for this! See details under "Forthcoming Events".

Henlow Village has been........
....good to us so there is a way we can show our appreciation and also promote classic scooters and the scene locally.
On Saturday 9th June the Henlow Village Fete takes place, most of which will be almost directly opposite The Five Bells and the local Vicar has asked if there is a possibility of having a small display of classic scooters there. Basically we are talking a maximum of a dozen classic scoots parked up in the display.
Certainly sounds like a good excuse to spend a Saturday afternoon in Henlow at the Fete / Pub. Anyone up for it you need to contact Donegal Paul. Again see the events section later re meeting place and time. Open to all, not just Pilgrims obviously.

Margate
Good on you if you went to Margate and welcome back to you all, I'm sure that you'll all be regaling us with how good it was at Henlow, you gits. I'm not bitter
Seriously though, wish I'd been able to go but there you go.

Double Booking Sunday June 10th!
Yes, there are two events on this day, so to avoid the points chasers feeling biased towards one or the other they will both be points events.
The first is the Sharnbrook Classic Italian Car day where there will be a BBQ and pig roast! Mmmmmmmm. Be aware though it's £10 per adult and £5 per under 12. This does include the pig roast though.
The Second is the Luton Festival of Transport where there will be an attendance by the Luton Lambretta Club who have extended an open invite to scooterists to join them.

Peterborough Lambretta Vespa Scooter Club 10th Anniversary
....is back on!!!! Wahayyyyy.
So, it's now on for June 23rd with camping, music, stalls etc and all for the princely sum of only £7! Seriously, that's like 3 pints!!! Gates open at 9am, so anyone wanting to go, meet at the Texaco garage on the Sandy A1 roundabout at 9am to ride up to what promises to be a great day and night!
