Monthly Ride
September's monthly ride was going to be to see the lads at Cambridge Scooter Club via St.Neot's but it turned out that the CSC had already got a BBQ arranged at one of their gaffs, and as they'd arranged the food etc I thought it would be a bit unfair to gatecrash it.
So, the plan was off to St. Neot's then on somewhere else but this all got a bit fragmented due to my chopper playing up (no blue pills necessary though) turns out it was the small end bearing disintegrating. Still, pretty much everyone had a good day and a big thanks to those offering help even though I was a crumpy gunt.

October's ride though, well, there's two! Yes, that's right, two and yes, you need to leave from the Piazza for both sets of double points!

Run one is to Kettering on Sunday October 5th for the Wicksteed Parts Fair. We'll leave the Piazza at 9.45am to go via Rushden and pick up the Rushden lads then crack on. Remember that admission is a fiver but I believe you get £1 off if you show your LCGB, VCB or VMSC card.
Run two is to start at The Polhill Arms, Renhold at the edge of Bedford where the landlord is having a scooter weekender, details further on in the newsletter. However, anyone that's not sure of the location needs to meet up at the Piazza at 10.15am Sunday 26th October to get to The Polhill Arms for the main ride out.

The Polhill Arms Weekender 24th - 26th October
The Polhill Arms in Renhold on the edge of Bedford is putting on a scooter themed weekender, part of which is the rideout we'll be doing on the Sunday. The itinery is:
Friday - Karaoke
Saturday - 2pm 'til late - Ska & Soul DJ's featuring Chris Tebbitt and Oxford Paul and then Tom's Dinosaur Disco.
Sunday - Open Decks, Scooter Rideout.
There's a Bouncy Castle, Bungee Run etc over the weekend and there is camping available at a fiver nearby on a proper campsite with showers etc if anyones brave enough.

I know that it's a bit behind but it doesn't mean it's not still relevant, never more so than this month with 2 chances for double points! So, if you think you are due points then make sure you let Donnie know.
