It's been a while..............
...and with (some) time on my hands I find myself doing a Pilgrims Newsletter. Why I don't know but hopefully it'll start some discussion about actually doing a bit more as a club.

Wicksteed Parts Fair
This is on again on Sunday 16th October 2011 and is usually pretty good these days for jumble etc.
We will be meeting at the Piazza in Bedford at 9.30am, fuelled up ready to leave sharp at 10am and will go via Rushden and Finedon.
Remember it's a fiver on the gate and I believe if you're a member of the LCGB, VCB or VMSC with a valid member card you get a quid off entry.

Inter County Ride Out
Well the next one is on Sunday October 23rd 2011, is being hosted by the Red Kites SC and for those wishing to meet up at Bedford on the Piazza you'll need to be there for a setting off time of 10am sharp and fuelled up.
The route will be onto the bypass to Junction 13, across to Woburn, then round Leighton Buzzard and we can have a fuel top up at Aylesbury before getting to Thame at the meet up point in the high street. According to Google maps it's just over 40 miles from the Piazza and once there the actual ride is to a nice pub (The Wheel) in High Wycombe which is a further 12 to 13 miles.
DONNIE'S HINT! One of the Kites did come a cropper on a "test run" (any excuse for a pint). Apparantly there's a gravel drive at the destination pub and one of the ladies ended up with a low speed off and some gravel rash :-(

Bridlington National Scooter Rally - October 28th to 30th 2011
This is, by all accounts, a great rally but is mainly B&B so if you've not booked up already you're probably screwed. DONNIE'S HINT: It is worth keeping an ear to the ground though (particularly on club forums) for last minute cancellations if you want to go.

Great Eastern at Mablethorpe - November 11th to 13th 2011
This rally is on a Haven site and is static caravan accomodation. So far I know that ScooterboySteve, Gee, myself, Greg and Smokey Joe are going. DONNIE'S HINT:Reports are that it gets bloody chilly this time of year and the heating in the vans may not be enough.

2012 - The Ressurrection
So, any plans for 2012? Anyone? What about you at the back, yes you in the flight jacket?

So come on lads and lasses, who's up for a concerted effort to do a minimum of 3 rallies next year, preferably one abroad? Any thoughts?

I know that several have spoken about doing Kelso (end of May 2012) again, also something like the Isle of Man Rally (6th - 8th July 2012) or a rally in Ireland. I know for a fact I'll be doing Mersea Island at the beginning of September 2012 as it's their 20th Anniversary year so should be a good one!

So, if anyone has any suggestions or thoughts then please get chatting either at a meet, a rally or on the Pilgrims online forum or facebook pages.
