Member News
Many of you know Woody and what a crap year the bloke's had. Well, only a week or two ago he had another blowout on his scooter which really was the straw that broke the camel's back. Thankfully it was a low speed one and no damage was done, other than to his confidence, so that was it. He's now sold his scooter on and wont be likely to get back on one for a good year or so. Just to say that he's not giving up the scootering lifestyle, just the scooter, so I'm sure we'll still see him at the do's and the Piazza.

Another member has some news too! Seems that we'll be seeing a new scooter shop opening locally in the very very near future! I'm not sure about how much I can divulge but I'm sure that if you're at Henlow on Thursday you'll get more information.

The Pre-Season Do..
...was a great success with people coming from all over including Peterborough and several Mysterons from Middlesex! A big thanks to Bill and Chris for providing the decks / setup / great music as well as Big Rob.
Great fun was had by all and over £250 was raised for equipment for the Neo-Natal Unit at Bedford Hospital due to the raffle and the auction of the signed Gift Poster. Oh, and for some reason, Donegal won the Best Supporting Member Trophy!!

The Ist Pilgrims Ride Out of the Year...
...was to Costello's Cafe to see the North Herts Scooter Collective on Sunday 26th February and boy was it a big one! Ok, I lie. Steve rode up from Dunstable and met Bedford Rob and Donegal on the Piazza. Then we picked up Russell at Henlow and then Pete just after and rode over.
It was a good turnout when we got there including several other Pilgrims that rode straight there including the Quincy's and Simon and Lyn. All told there were about 35 to 40 scooters there, damn good for a cold February morning.

Becoming a Pilgrim...
....couldn't be simpler. I've been getting questions from quite a few people lately on how to join the club. Now while some clubs have subs and committees and it works for them, however, The Pilgrims are very simply a group of like minded scooterists, that's it. There's no secret handshake, there's no subs or committees, there's no membership as such. All you have to do if you want to join the club is turn up and join in, that's it.

Monthly Ride
After the rideout last month there isn't one this month, there's two! Yes two!! First, we have our old favourite Wicksteed Park Parts Fair on Sunday 19th March. Apparently the original organiser has bowed out but Kev Walsh (The Lambretta Club of Great Britain General Secretary) has taken it over as he believes its too good an event to just disappear.

The second rideout will be the Peterborough Lambretta and Vespa Scooter Club's famous Easter Egg Run which is in its 9th year and takes place on Saturday 25th March 2006. It promises to be a great event and don't forget they also have a great evening do too!

Details of both events including kickoff times at the bottom of the page.

Keeping in Touch
Just a reminder that the club has a website at www.thepilgrimssc.co.uk where members can keep in touch with what's happening and even make suggestions on what we could do this coming year.
