May 2006
Land's
End to John O'Groats
That's right, 1800 odd miles in total when you count the return journey
and all in a week.
Donegal Paul will be doing it on his spanish Series II, while Fred is
doing it on Precious, his Vespa T5 along with about 30 other lads from
all over the country!
Will their scooters make it, will their arses make it, you'll have to
wait and see! They set off this Saturday morning for Exeter as a precursor
to the run and should arrive back here next Saturday, just in time to
go to Cambridge Lambretta's open day on Sunday 21st
May!
You
can watch their progress "live" at www.ride2006.co.uk and follow
the links to Live Pictures.
Wish them Luck!!
Monthly Ride
The Monthly Ride this May will be to the Cambridge Lambretta
Open Day which will have music, dyno, food and prizes as well as discounts
on the day!
Leaving the Piazza at 09.30 in Bedford and going via the A1, then past
Eaton Socon and off to Cambridge, hopefully getting there about 10.30
Ace
Cafe St. George's Day Run.
On catching up with several of the Pilgrims and others, as well as what
I've gleaned elsewhere, it seems that it was a great day at the Ace Cafe,
with some of the more unusual scooters in attendance including a Harley
Davidson Scooter! The main bad point of the day was when the heavens decided
to open for those on the way home in the evening.
Sandy
Scooters Update
Just to let everyone know that Sandy Scooters is doing well with
nary a quiet day for Paul! Business seems to be good, and people seem
to have nothing but praise. There are still some teething problems with
a couple of their suppliers but these are nearly ironed out, and to be
fair, this is no different than most other scooter shops would experience.
As for the website, its nearly there, please note that you cant use the
email address yet on the preview site, its only a preview, not the live
site, yet.

The
Pilgrims Summer BBQ
Sunday
July 16th is the date for your diaries. There will be music, a live
band, food and beer as well as naked dancing girls. Ok, maybe not the
last one, but maybe Donegal will do a pole dance for ye if you get him
drunk enough!!
The weekend
after is the NHS Collective's Summer do too, so that'll be two local
do's in two weeks!! Wooohooooo!
Keeping
in Touch
Remember the club has a website at www.thepilgrimssc.co.uk where members
